FAQ

How much food is in a share?
It varies throughout the course of the season. We figure it is enough food for a couple or family of four with young children.

What is in a share?
Each weekly share consists of salad greens (mesculin mix or head lettuce), cooking greens (chard, kale, collards, mustard greens, bok choy, etc.), an herb (basil, parsley, cilantro, and other culinary herbs at our pick-your-own fields), something bunched (carrots, beets, turnips, leeks, radishes, etc), tomatoes every week we have them, and other vegetables as they become available.

Can I choose what vegetables I get each week?
We strive to have as many choices and options as possible each week.
If I pick up other than at the farm can I still participate in the pick your own offer?
The pick your own option is included in your share. All members are welcome to visit the farm and enjoy the pick your own fields.

Can I buy extra vegetables and other farm goods?
Yes. We sell extra vegetables for your canning and home storage needs. We have maple syrup, grass-fed beef, pastured pork, free-range poultry, and eggs for sale as well. Everything we offer is raised by us on our farm.

What if I miss a week?
Most folks take at least two weeks vacation during the summer months. If you give us at least one week notice we will double your share upon your return. If you miss a pick-up, we will donate your share to the New Horizons Soup Kitchen. You can always have a neighbor, friend, or family member pick up your share if you cannot pick up your share yourself.
